One-on-One Fundraising Coaching Clients can choose from face-to-face or virtual sessions, typically starting with an assessment of needs and interests. Sessions are often tailored to the organization's fundraising calendar (e.g., discussions about Giving Tuesday take place well in advance). One-on-one sessions are 90 minutes in length and typically occur every other week.

Group Fundraising Coaching Clients receive virtual sessions twice per month. The first session helps client teams learn about areas that may be new to them. Clients who have already worked in the space (e.g., crowdfunding) are encouraged to bring materials for the group's review. The second session of the month is an open Q&A session where clients can discuss any fundraising topic on their minds with our team.

Fundraising Assessment and Planning Schmucker Advising Group works closely with the client to assess the organization’s fundraising in a structured manner using our proprietary process. We develop a plan to address any gaps between current activities and long-term goals while considering the client’s financial resources, staffing, volunteers, and time.

 

Fundraising Execution and Management Our team is available to lead the fundraising execution services for organizations that lack the internal capacity to implement them effectively. We serve as an extension of your team, designing, writing, and managing donor communications, annual appeals, stewardship activities, and more throughout the fundraising cycle.

 

Our approach ensures consistent messaging and professional presentation while maintaining your organization's voice and brand. We work closely with organizational leadership to coordinate timing, messaging, and donor segmentation strategies. Face-to-face solicitation and relationship management remain with the client organization, with our team providing coaching and support for these activities as needed.

Special Projects Schmucker Advising Group is available for a variety of special projects, including designing a planned giving program, establishing gift policies, establishing a fundraising team, evaluating a fundraising team, advancing a philanthropic campaign, and much more.

On-Demand Fundraising Support Offered in bundles of 10 hours or more, clients receive as-needed support on fundraising questions, covering topics ranging from databases to mailings to specific donor issues to receipting to online giving and more. Schmucker Advising team members are available to our enrolled clients via email, phone, and Zoom with little lead time and can provide quick answers. We can assist with areas such as proper wording, sticky situations, and presenting opportunities to your board.
